In Internet Explorer while dragging the map to pan around the screen, all I get is a gray box or a map that moves very slowly. I can't see the map moving around.Solution:
This is a bug in Internet Explorer. To fix it:
- In Internet Explorer, open "Internet Options..." from the "Tools" menu.
- Click on the "Settings..." button in the "Temporary Internet Files" group.
- Make sure you have "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" set to anything other than "Every visit to the page." We suggest setting it to "Automatically".
This should make the dragging more responsive.
The counties are all gray, or some counties are colored and others are gray.Solution:
When any county or state is gray, that means there are no data available from the source of the census data. This could be because the data were not gathered in that place or year, or because they are not available on the electronic data used for this site for that place or year.
